Prayer is the ordinary way God invites human beings into conversation, in which we speak honestly to God and trust that God hears and cares for us. For Christians, prayer is shaped by our relationship to Jesus Christ, through whom we approach God as a loving Father and seek God’s will, provision, forgiveness, and guidance.
