The Holy Spirit is God—the third person of the Trinity—through whom Jesus Christ is present with us, comforting, empowering, and connecting us to God’s love. The Spirit gives life, unites the Church, bears fruit in believers, helps us understand Scripture and pray, and sends us into the world to live and share God’s mission.
